Wisconsin Dells weekend

So this weekend I went on a little getaway to Wisconsin Dells with my family. I had such a great time! Unfortunately I am too much of a wimp to bring my camera anywhere near a water park, or pool, so you get to see some pictures of me just messin' around with the family! :)

Margarita  bug... don't you see it?

I know this is a horrible picture, but  I can't help but hysterically laugh at how giant my booty looks here! (on the left..)

loving the light coming through the bedroom

My sister being... well how we usually are... funny!

This was in our bathroom, and I absolutely love this quote!

I took this on my way to see my grandma!Sweet Shot Day

can you tell I love sunsets?

right at my grandma resorts we ran across these little guys! It was getting pretty dark out, and I didn't have my flash on, hence a little blurry.

At my grandma's resort

This is how my brother was sleeping when I woke up... LOL

My other brother, clearly we are all really cool in my family.

Looking at the trees and sky through my brothers eyes... literally. :)

Well when I get back expect some pretty awesome pictures from this weekend! I have my camera all charged and I am all ready to take some amazing photos! I also have a newborn session scheduled for Tuesday. Which I am super stoked for, because well.. she is so adorable! I did the maternity sessions too you can see that here. I guess I never made a post just on the session.. so I might have to do that soon.

MMMM strawberries

Every morning I eat strawberries for breakfast. I usually couple them with a banana and either toast or oatmeal.  Good ol' vitamin C. If I don't have strawberries a co-worker of mine will always ask where they are.  My husband does the grocery shopping ( I know I am such a lucky gal! ) and he always       kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkmakes sure to load up on them strawberries. He does a great job picking them out too! :)

Photobucket   head on over and check out more fruit themed pictures!

babies babies babies

So many beautiful newborn babies around! It is amazing! I am so happy for their families! It brings me a lot of joy to see the happy families.

But it hurts me on the inside. Everytime I see a mom snuggling their child, my heart aches a little bit. I see nursing mothers and I want that so bad. I see new dads high off of happiness at their new families, and my heart aches a little more. I want my own family. I really enjoy other peoples childrens, and I love kids, and I love love love love babies, but I am so ready to have my own. Sometimes I shy away from holding a baby because it makes that longing grow so much deeper. The smell of a baby, their movements, there reactions, there little fingers, there little toes, there lips, eyes, everything. I would be a good mom. I would. I could use more patience, and understanding, but I would love that child with all my heart. I am so ready to just be on the path in my life to becoming a mother. I really am.  When I see a mother nursing her child or cuddling her child. I know what it feels like to snuggle a baby and get hugs, and that feeling is amazing, but I can't imagine the feeling of it being your own. and I want that.  I want that so bad. I always try and keep my infertility upbeat and be non chalant about it, but sometimes it is just freeeeaaaakkkinnnn hard. I know God's timing is perfect and he usually isn't early and he is never late (quote from Joyce Meyer) but I am really hoping that I am really really really near His perfect timing. With all these beautiful babies surrounding me, it makes it hard.  I struggle, yet I appreciate.

But for now I love my bully baby.

warrior Dash

Yesterday was the 5k warrior dash today in minneeesooootttaaa. (said with my best Fargo voice)
Here is what went down

10:00am- hubs and I drove, got checked in and hung out soaking up the awesome/crazy environment AKA got fried, like a lobster.

1:30 - our race began Super exciting! For the first 45 seconds, then we had to run up this monsterous, and let me tell you monsterous is an understatement, hill! (did I mention the warrior dash was at a ski resort?!?!?!! Worse than you imagine)

treacherous typhoon was our first obstacle (apparently they didn't count the mountain we had to climb)  lots of water being blown at you while you run through it... it felt sooooo good! I vote they do that through the whole thing! Granted you couldn't see a THING while you were going through it, but it felt good.

Road rage was the next obstacle that was running through tires and jumping on cars, it was pretty cool

Barricade breakdown- NOT fun. You know how you see in the army, people jumping over walls and then under barbwire well that is what we did, and I always that thought it would be fun ... nope. Nothing fun about it. Especially when you are 5'3.

Chaotic crossover- crawling across cargo net 5 feet in the air, I bear crawled it, but sometimes used my knees, and that kind of hurt, but I enjoyed the challenge

Blackout- was crawling in a black hole... it was hot, we were going up hill, it wasn't my favorite. I could have done without, but thankful I didn't have to run up a hill, good excuse to crawl, but it was a sauna in there.

Cargo climb- that was climbing up cargo net REALLY high. That was fun! i loved it! I did it really fast too! Go me!!

Run through sand... but apparently they don't count that as an obstacle... i think they were mistaken, that was hard.

The great barrier wall- This was the one I was fearing the most. Climb up a wall using a rope with an inch lip every 3 feet. I did not think I would be able to do this. BUT I DID!! That was high also, and it actually was scary and made me nervous. But I did it, and that felt so cool!

Run through some mud, slipped, but again not an obstacle in their books...

Teetering traverse- I was a little slow in this one because as it was my turn the guy said "no one has fallen off yet, no pressure" THANKS. I wasn't nervous, until YOU said that! I made it, it was fun. Oh I suppose you want to know what it was... it was boards 5 feet off the ground that you walk on, pretty thin, going different directions.

Petrifying plunge- this was a big slip in slide, I heard people weren't going down it very fast unless they took a running jump, so that is what  I did, I went Super fast and landed hard and fast into the bumpers.. the workers were proud!

Then we jumped over fire- twice-  yea that felt bad ass.

MUDPIT- the final obstacle to the race- that was fun. we crawled through the mudpit under barbed wire. I got mud in my mouth, disgusting. Think about it... thousands of people doing this race, at the end.. yea if I die.. that is probably why.

I didn't mention the 30,411 massive hills we had to run up and down in between all the obstacles because well that is boring.. but let me tell you! That was hard!!! But this event was so much fun!! I can't wait to do it next year!!  **30,411 may possibly be a slight dramatization.

Under Construction

At work we are switching to a new computer system, it is like the biggest change ever. And all around the patient areas ( I work in a clinic/hospital setting) we have signs saying"please excuse our electronic dust"
I am copying those signs and letting you guys know I am going to be doing some changes to my blog, and since I am new to this, and haven't ever done any of this stuff before it may not happen as quick as it should! But I have my wonderful friend over at the small town mom helping me with any questions I have, and trust me I am using her!

and don't let that stop you from browsing my blog! I love visitors!

5K breakdown

ok, not the mental breakdown, but the breakdown of how/what I did for my 5K  I ran yesterday! (just around my neighborhood, not a race)

Ran:       17:58:76
walked:  03:59.94
Ran:       5:18:70
walked:  03:03.42
Ran:      02:42.01
walked: 05:19.53
Ran:       03.21.73

Total time:  41:46.4

so a total run time of over 29 minutes! :) I am happy with that! But that means that I walked for 12 minutes. I was hoping for a little bit less on the walking minutes. My best so far has been walking for only 9 minutes. I would like to beat that by a minute each time I run.. but regardless I am super happy that i have brought down my 5k time by 4 minutes! That is great! My goal is by winter to have it down another 4 minutes!

There is one part of my run, that is torturing me. It is between the 1 mile and 1.5 mile markers I have. I don't know why it is so awful for me! Part of it is uphill, but I am pretty sure it flattens out. The only thing I can think of is that it is all in my head. But Tuesday night when I ran this I was doing well, talking myself into running longer, and before I knew it, I started walking, it wasn't even a concious decision. It just happened. I was bummed, but it felt nice to walk. :) After mile 2 someting in my upper thigh was hurting a little bit, not bad, but sore. The next day same thing, but now today, it is all gone. Thankfully! Not sure what that was all about, but... I'm glad its gone!
