so sweet

The Paper Mama

  1. This is an adorable shot, Tara! About your question on focusing, i shoot in Manual and toggle my focus. Since I was close to the subject, I just made sure that the focus is right on the eyes or anywhere near it. Also, since my aperture is at f/2.8 and ISO at 100, i usually pick a faster shutter speed that will compensate for my light.

I don't know what camera you have but most of the people that I know is that they compose a shot, lock the focus and then recompose the shot to the part where you want it to be focused. But since I always forget about locking and recomposing, I just prefer the toggling part. Try to go over your manual, it's should be in the Auto-Focus section. Hope this helps. :)
