Precious

Here are some pictures I took from the other day! This little 4 month old was so adorable!

ps- I was too lazy to put my watermark on the pictures. So please don't steal them. Thanks! :)

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for my wonderful, supportive husband. He is more than I could ever ask for! He is and has always been super supportive of anything I can hope and dream of! He really listens to my hopes and dreams and tries to make them come true! He is such a kind, gentle amazing man. I am truly blessed that God gave him to me as my husband. He is always full of laughter, supportive words, jokes, comebacks and knowledge.

QUESTION 3
 The proposoal.

So our proposal... I will start from the beginning (creative, I know, but for my credit I tried to do it from the end to the beginning, but it wasn't very exciting).

In December we flew out to San Diego CA to see a concert and also to see his cousin. The hubs would talk about how well him and his cousin get along and how much fun they had together, so I was super excited! We were fairly new to dating (even though I knew I wanted to marry him and we weren't really all that new) I had one request. If we are going to San Diego, we have to go to the zoo! He agreed, although I am pretty sure he wasn't all that thrilled. He kept making grumblings about how zoo's smell and give him headaches. I assured him that I would supply lots of advil and water for him. So we planned a trip to San Diego for a couple days. Prior to this I had no desire to go to California ever. But when I got there, I thought it was beautiful!! And now I can't wait to go back and I want to travel all over California! The hubs and I had such a great time there! Our trip was full of laughter! There was a time at dinner where i think his cousin and the hubs were in tears they were laughing so hard. I may have gotten close too! :) We spent a couple lovely hours at the concert. It was full of some excitement with an annoying red head behind us (I am smiling as I recall the elbows, the sticking the foot out, etc) hehe. And of course their was 6 wonderful hours spent at the San Diego zoo! I was in heaven. If the cousin and the hubs were sick of it or bored, I wouldn't have noticed! But I think they enjoyed themselves a lot too! Our trip ended entirely too soon. Which brings me to the plane ride home... OOH THE PLANE RIDE. I was miserable! I don't know why, but I think the pressure was off on the plane, my fingers looked like sausages, my bag of pretzels was about to explode and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I was getting clausterphobic and I was about about to have a major meltdown. So anything the hubs said or did was held against him. I couldn't jump off that plane fast enough! So we get home, late at night, probably about 2 am. We are laying in bed, chit chatting, and all of a sudden he said "wanna open your Christmas present?" UUUHHHH YEA!!  So he crawls over to his bag and grabs the box (Tiffany's, oh yea) and I am hopeful, but don't want to seem disappointed if it is a charm or something, because I love anything my hubby has to give me. I open it and it is an engagement ring! I am super happy! I of course don't show a lot of emotion, which can be anti dramatic in cases like this. But I was ecstatic. I would have bounced up and down climbed on him and gave him a thousand kisses, but that just isn't me. I was speechless. I could hardly even talk, and if I did I had to fight back tears. It was wonderful! :)

Scavenger hunt Sunday

1.Decay

Um... I won't go into detail of what this is but it is called a bullystick, and its for my dog to chew.

2. Group of 3

3. Kitchen
ooh yea, he is my kitchen now! :) I have a wonderful husband who cooks dinner for us.

4. Things that make you go "hmmmm"

Hello! Do you see his teeth! His upper lip is protruding because that is where his fangs are hiding! This is a rare occasion when his fangs are inside of his lips. Porkchop makes me go "hmmm"  all the time. But that is why I love him so.

5. Me time

Here is my favorite chair to sit in and read a book or play on the (stupid) ipad. Usually with Porkchop right at my side not missing a beat. Notice Porkchops right fang is hanging out. And PS- Ipad is (stupid) because it is a running joke with my husband and I about stupid ipads. :)

Little miss photos

Here are some of the pictures I took yesterday of a 3 and a half year old. She did not like to look at the camera AT ALL! I tried every trick in the book and she did not want to look at the camera. She would turn her face, but not her eyes. It was so funny. She had me cracking up the whole time. I did get some good laughs when I mentioned her dog farting. :) It is so nice to know that I have the same sense of humor as a 3 year old. he-he

Doctor visit

So I haven't been blogging as much lately, which I miss! But I have a whole bunch of things I want to update on but seem to be busy lately! Which I am ok with that! I enjoy being busy. One thing that has been consuming me lately is a doctors appointment I went to recently, (warning potential TMI coming) I went to the doctor because I missed my period for 100 days. I wasn't going to go, but I just kind of got a nagging feeling like I need to get it checked out.

So I went to the doctor, my doctor did an exam and requested "a workup" done on me... 6 VIALS of blood later I was moaning in grossness. I DO NOT like needles and I REALLY can't stand getting my blood drawn! I spent my 20 minute car ride home making funny faces and rubbing my arm and making whimpering noises!! After they took the 6 vials I looked at my hand and it was blue. YUCK!!! EWW, GROSS. (That is pretty much what I said for the next couple of hours). So I waited patiently for the blood work to come back. The doctor had told me that if everything came back normal she was going to put me on a pill for 5 days to get my period and hopefully that would get my body back into the swing of things. So I was hoping for that. Well I got a call from my doctor (after playing phone tag like 4 times) stating that one of my levels is high, which is why I am not getting my period. We don't know exactly what this means yet. It can be regulated with birth control, but that poses issues when you want to have a baby. So she scheduled me to see an OB GYN. So April 5th I am off to find out more information. I was pretty upset when they first told me because I always have had a fear of not being able to get pregnant. But I will not go there until I am told to go there. My husband has been super supportive and helping me and I am calm now, and am praying, and hopefully the OB GYN has good news and it will be a quick, easy and painless fix. I guess with the levels being high it could be several things one of them I think is just my level is high and that is it, or PCOS (which makes it VERY challenging to get pregnant), or tumors or some other disease. I have confidence that it isn't anything too serious, and I know that God will get us through anything! and that I need to just rely on God and he has a plan for me, I may not be able to see it yet, but I know he has a plan for me.

PS-I debated on posting this because it is very personal and haven't even told very many people, but this is my blog, and blogging about it helps and I want to blog about it, so I decided to go ahead and blog about it!

QUESTION 2: When you knew he was the one? How & When?

This story is actually kind of funny. My husband gloats everytime I tell this story... but here it goes

It was about the 3rd  time we had hung out, we went out downtown and then went back to our mutual friends house. We were sitting around, making something to eat, and I just had this thought pop into my head "I want to marry him, and if not him, because if I say him that is just creepy, so if not him, someone just like him" That literally was the conversation in my head with myself. Now keep in mind I had a couple drinks in me. :) I think that night may be the first time I said I love you. BUT that is NOT how I meant it!!!  I meant it like how you tell a friend! I was really enjoying his company and we were laughing and I said " I love you" but I TOTALLY  meant it like how you would tell a friend that. He never did believe me nor will he ever believe that. HE-HE.

weekend wrap-up

I had such a great weekend! I am sad that it is almost over! I ended my weekend in such a great way! But I will start with the beginning.  Friday I got off work at 2:05, always a good way to start out a weekend! I took a little nap, got jimmy johns for supper, then headed off to some friends house where the boys played poker and the girls hot tubbed and chit chatted. It was awesome! We picked up my baby (porkchop, AKA the english bulldog puppy) from Porkchop's grandmas house, and went home where I hung out with my 2 loves, husband and dog. I woke up Saturday morning and headed off to the library to get a couple books and then 2 of my best friends came over (one of them being my sister) and we started our craft day! I finished crocheting a hat and started on a new crocheting project, and learned how to read a crochet pattern! our craft day started at 11:30 am and went until about 10 pm! It was great! Then today (Sunday) I went to a mentoring session with my photographer, ok she isn't "mine" but I use her, and I love her and she is amazing! I learned so much from her and I can't wait to put to practice what I learned from her! And see the improvements in my photos from this session! here is the link to "my" photographer's website. she rocks! Just sayin! I am so totally motivated after leaving this session! I have been meaning to write in my new journal everything I learned today so I can remember it always but I have been too excited to sit down and write! I am super excited to get everything organized as far as picture taking goes and then put to practice my knew knowledge! So I am off to start writing!

QUESTION 1:

My friend worked with the hubby, and she would mention him once in a while and they had hung out a couple times with some mutual friends. So I heard his name from her, and knew that he sounded like a really good guy( she wasn't trying to set us up or anything, I just had gathered that info from the stuff she would tell me) So anyways a guy I worked with was having a party at his house, well he used to work with my friend and my husband so they were invited as well. We talked a little bit at the party but not all that much, he intrigued me, and my friend said that she could tell he liked me. Then a week or so later, we all planned on getting together and going out, so we did. And for a couple months that is how we would get together, is through our mutual friends going out, but it all seemed to be getting more frequent, we both wanted to hang out more together, but were chicken I guess? Eventually he asked me to go to a concert together, which wasn't the best first date, he clearly had something on his mind and was kind of awkward. but luckily for him (hehe) I looked past it (ok fine ... lucky for me too!) We continued to just be friends for a while. I first laid eyes on him at the end of January 2008 and we didn't start dating until after July 4th 2008. And we were engaged on Decemer 8th 2008. Our first kiss was in a cab. My friend was talking to us, and he just kissed me. HEHE. That makes me smile because I totally forgot about that until now. her reaction was "DID YOU GUYS JUST KISS!" followed up with some giggles.
 Good times.

I strongly believe this is the very first picture of the two of us. Not the greatest. But memories no doubt.

Thankful Thursday

What am I thankful for?

1. My husband and how helpful he has been around the house lately! (and so much more but I could post a hundred reasons why I am thankful for my husband, I will save that for another post)
2 My mom, I can just feel the love she has for me radiating off of her. She is always and will always be around. She is amazing. Best mom a girl could ask for.
3. My sister, always being there for me when I need to vent or talk about the things in my life, no matter how un-interesting they are to her
4. My best friends, there may only be a few, but they are amazing! They are so supportive of anything I do and a lot of fun to be around! I can tell them anything and they offer laughs, support, and encouragement!
5. porkchop- always can make me smile, no matter how naughty he is being.
6. The radio- I love cranking up the radio and singing along to songs (when no one can hear me)
7. Thermostats- as my husband says I have about a 3 degree range of where I am satisfied. I am thankful I am able to reach that satisfaction
8. diet mountain dew- I gave up drinking it every day, but when I do get it, I am thankful for the energy burst I get from it, and that I don't waste any calories drinking it! And I love  that it isn't a dark pop so it won't stain my teeth!
9. Jimmy johns- as of current my favorite place to eat lunch, deliciousness
10. my bed- I am thankful I get to sleep in such a wonderful spot.
